Our lost paradise

The quiet bird wailing in a cold nest Pity how aloof you live in this old roost

Chipping-yearning agape to chastise and drool over our lost paradise, our days unforgotten, memories and dreams reverse

Like a coal of fire, again you burn and sun the dust of our hearts’ son

Explanation:.                                           This is a break-up poem: It conveys a poetic touch of loneliness felt by the lover’s object of love. He can see her through his imagination longing for their pretty past of happiness. The “dearie hearts’ son” is the love they once shared together. Though, she now desire it, yet once killed the feeling: This is personified by the “burn and sun our dearie hearts’ son”
